How to Book Your Whitsunday Bareboat Charter

Booking your Whitsunday bareboat charter with Whitsunday Rent A Yacht has never been easier.  Our professional team has booked thousands of Whitsunday charters for holidaymakers in the Whitsunday region.

What you need to know about booking a Whitsunday bareboat charter with us!

• Determine when you would like to come and your preferred vessel.
• Call Toll Free 1800 075 000 (Aust. Only) or email to discuss your boat rental needs and to determine availability and cost of the yacht charter booking .
• Decide on what extras or services you would like to complement your Whitsunday bareboat charter.
• Fill out the Booking Request Form and send it to us.
• Once your booking is confirmed please complete the Charterers Details Form

Booking Information

Booking Deposit: $750 deposit is required for Whitsunday charters within 14 days to secure your booking.

Balance of booking fees: These are to be paid in full no later than 60 days prior to departure on your Whitsunday bareboat charter.

Cancellation of Whitsunday Charters: If a cancellation is made outside 60 days of your departure date for the sailboat charter, booking fees received will be refunded less a $100 cancellation of sailboat charter fee. For cancellations made within 60 days of your boating charter departure date, no refunds will be made unless a substitute charter booking is obtained. All cancellations of the sailboat charter booking must be in writing.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND : Travel and Cancellation Insurance and Hirers Liability Insurance

Travel and Cancellation Insurance: We recommend that you take out adequate insurance for your charter to cover yourselves in case you are forced to cancel due to unforseen circumstances, curtailments or interruptions beyond your control. A visitors plan is available for overseas clients.

Hirers Liability Insurance: This policy is designed to protect you from claims made against you by others for Property Loss, Accidental Death, Bodily Injury or Illness to them caused by (or as a result of) your negligence. For this policy to apply to you, the hired vessel or the tender must be involved in the loss.

Extras Fees:

Marine Park Fee: A Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Fee plus associated charges is applicable to all charterers and is payable in full prior to departure. Cost $20 per person: including EMC $4.50 per person x 3 nights. ($13.50) plus administration charge $6.50.
From 01 April 2010 the Fee increases to $25 per person. Including EMC $5.50 per person x 3 nights ($16.50) plus admin charge $8.50.

Damage Levy Fee or Bond:

Damage Levy Fee, non refundable, provides the charterer with a No Blame Policy that protects the charterer against any cost incurred to rectify damage to the vessel and its fittings or loss of inventory from the vessel, providing at all times the charter vessel is operated in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the charter agreement. The fee is calculated at a rate according to vessel size by the number of nights.
Cost Damage Levy Fee
30ft to 34ft - $35 per boat per night
35ft to 38ft - $45 per boat per night
39ft to 50ft - $50 per boat per night
8 - 10 nights pay 7 nights. 11 nights pay 8 nights. 12 nights pay 9 nights. 13 nights pay 10 nights. 14 nights pay 11 nights.

Bond : Non refundable Damage Levy Fee $100 plus refundable $1500 Bond option is available.

Whitsunday Rent A Yacht reserves the right (without showing cause ) to apply the Bond option.


Fuel: Fuel is not included in the cost of our Whitsunday charters, cost is calculated on total litres of fuel used and is payabale on completion of the sailboat charter.
