Dear Customer

It’s a flurry of activity at WRAY as we head into high season – our busiest time of year. We’re actively marketing specials to attract holidaymakers, keeping the fleet in tip-top condition and implementing systems to ensure our customer service is second to none. We’ve just completed the first of six customer service workshops and will conduct them once a month for the next five months for all departments.

Season of specials

High season is promising great returns with solid bookings during the September school holidays and 14 vessels booked for the traditional medical graduates’ pilgrimage from November 30-December 4. WRAY is offering a raft of season specials including a free upgrade worth $1,500 plus free night aboard for a short time. We offered a special package to the graduates and were rewarded with an additional 11 boats booked.

Introducing the Elite service

Holidaymakers booking one of WRAY’s five luxury Beneteau Lagoon catamarans – Lucy (a 420); Chantilly and Angelique (both 400s) and Tutu and Lukim Yu (both 380s) – receive the full benefits of our indulgent Elite service. Guests receive complimentary Lagoon towels, selected wine from Queensland’s award-winning Sirromet Winery, high-end toiletries - and much more!

Rating the WRAY experience

Ever wondered what people are REALLY saying about charter holidays in the Whitsundays? Now, you can find out. Charterers can write about their sailing experience through TripAdvisor’s review forum via the WRAY website - find it via the TripAdvisor widget on the home page. Like our testimonial page and Facebook site, TripAdvisor gives potential charterers direct access to independent accounts of a WRAY holiday.

Showtime success

Thousands flocked to see WRAY at the 44th Sydney International Boat Show in July-August where we launched our Elite service and showcased our partnership with Sirromet Winery. We’ve been attending the show for over 15 years and will return next year. We also appeared at the Whitsunday Boat and Leisure Show at Airlie Beach from September 10-11 where visitors stepped aboard Chantilly, a Beneteau Lagoon 400.

What's in a name?

WRAY is now marketing vessels by their names as well as their brands. Vessel names now appear on the website, in marketing brochures and on our social media pages. Each consumer newsletter will also bring charterers the story behind a vessel’s name. The first to be profiled is Angelique, a Beneteau Lagoon 400, owned by Chris Liszka who wooed wife Ania with red roses and called her “angel” after buying Angelique!

August 2012 is race month

We’re marketing August 2012 as THE month to experience Australian sailing action at its best. With Airlie Beach Race Week from August 10-16 and Hamilton Island Race Week from August 17-25, we’re encouraging charterers to book a vessel now to experience back-to-back race action. We’re offering charterers the chance to charter vessels for one or both events and enjoy the offshore fun. Visit our race month page. Read more>
