Learn to sail, then come bareboating

Whitsunday Rent A Yacht has an extensive fleet so no matter what type of boat you learn on, we're bound to have a charter vessel you'll feel comfortable with.

There are sailing schools and also boating schools, where you can earn your boat licence (among other qualifications) located Australia-wide.

If you want to learn to sail or skipper a power cruiser close to home, then come and bareboat charter with us, that's no problem.

If you wish to include sail training in your holiday, we can arrange for your group to have a sailing instructor on board for $385 a day.

Your charter group members may also choose to acquire their Introduction to Yachting and International Crew Certificate (including log book and course notes) for $87 per person. Certification requires three days' training with your instructor in attendance.

WRAY works closely with Whitsunday Marine Academy, located in Cannonvale just down the road from our head office at Shute Harbour. The Academy offers a wide range of courses from recreational to professional. They include:

• Introduction to Yachting and International Crew Certificate
• International Bareboat Skipper Certificate
• Small Powerboat Certificate
