Andrew Mirosch recipes

What could be better than turning your own catch-of-the-day into a sumptuous fish meal aboard your own charter vessel, guided by one of Australia’s best chefs, the award-winning Andrew Mirosch?

Andrew is renowned for his love of catching and cooking seafood and is working with Whitsunday Rent A Yacht to produce a selection of souvenir recipes exclusively for our charterers.

Andrew, who is executive chef at Lurleen’s Restaurant at Brisbane’s Sirromet Winery, is also chef writer for The Courier-Mail’s Q-Weekend and chef presenter on Channel 7’s Queensland Weekender.

Andrew's recipes will focus on cooking Whitsundays-caught fish, with a beef and chicken dish available, too. He'll also provide tips on cooking with a few ingredients in a limited space.

Fishing in the Whitsundays while carefully zoned, is an angler’s dream. Cast a rod off your boat and you might be lucky enough to catch a trevally, red emperor, Spanish mackerel, blue finned tuna or coral trout! Make sure you ask our fishing experts for tips on the best spots to fish before you set sail.

Andrew’s recipes (pictured right) are available to our charterers now. All you have to do is cast off, follow his instructions, then settle back and enjoy your meal as the sun sets over the turquoise waters of the Whitsundays. Bon appetit!
