Learn to Sail

Get a group of friends together, or take your partner, and learn to sail and handle a yacht under supervision with our Learn to Sail Package. You’ll spend three days and two nights receiving full sailing accreditation while familiarising yourself with the beautiful Whitsunday Islands, discovering where the best anchorages and calm coves are. Then you'll set off aboard your very own charter vessel for three nights cruising the area.

LEARN TO SAIL PACKAGE includes:

• Three-days', two-nights' sail training course (aboard training vessel in shared accommodation) with the Whitsunday Marine Academy
• Two-nights' accommodation in Airlie Beach
• Three-days', three-nights' bareboat charter
• All meals on sail training course and food supplied for bareboat charter
• Snorkel equipment, wetsuit hire, linen
• All local marine and national park fees, bareboat damage waiver
• Sail training course is International Yacht Training (IYT) accredited and includes course notes, log book and certificate.

            Additional costs:

• Fuel used on bareboat charter
• Various local transfers
• All beverages.

LEARN TO SAIL (AND BAREBOAT) PACKAGE ITINERARY, courses commence Monday or Thursday:

• Day one: check-in for introductory sail course, then overnight at Airlie Beach accommodation
• Day two: commence introductory sail training course in the morning, overnight on yacht
• Day three: sail training course, overnight on yacht
• Day four: sail training course, finish in afternoon, overnight in Airlie Beach accommodation
• Day five: bareboat briefing in morning at Whitsunday Rent A Yacht, test sail, then on your way, overnight on yacht
• Day six: bareboating the Whitsundays, overnight on yacht
• Day seven: bareboating the Whitsundays, overnight on yacht
• Day eight: return to marina.
