Rates and fees

• All rates quoted are per vessel, per night
• Minimum charter five nights
• Rates quoted in Australian dollars (AUD), inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST)
• Rates valid to March 31, 2013

Booking information

Deposit

To secure your vessel, a $750 deposit is required within seven days of booking.

Charter fees

To be paid in full 60 days prior to departure. Late payments will incur a $250 late fee.

Travel insurance and cancellation

Travel insurance makes sense. A small, additional investment when you book ensures you are protected should your holiday be interrupted by illness, a family emergency or severe tropical weather. While late summer is a great time to visit the Whitsunday Islands, weather conditions can vary. If you are holidaying with us during this period, travel insurance - including cyclone cover - is especially important. We also recommend Bareboat Charterers Liability Insurance. Our reservations staff can help.

Charter fees will be refunded in full for cancellations made more than 60 days prior to departure, however a cancellation fee of $100 will be applied. Charter fees will not be refunded for cancellations made less than 60 days prior to departure, unless a substitute booking is made. All charter cancellations must be received in writing.

Island relocation

Start and finish your charter from Whitsunday Rent A Yacht's base at Shute Harbour, or the following locations (additional vessel delivery and collection fees apply):

• Hamilton Island start: fly into Hamilton Island then board your charter vessel at Hamilton Island Marina. (Vessel delivery fee: $295.)
• Hamilton Island finish: finish your charter at Hamilton Island Marina, fly out of Hamilton Island. (Vessel collection fee: $295.)
• Hamilton Island start and finish: start and finish your charter at Hamilton Island Marina, fly out of Hamilton Island. (Vessel delivery and collection fee: $475.)
• Daydream Island start: board your charter vessel at Daydream Island. (Vessel delivery fee: $120.)
• Daydream Island finish: finish your charter at Daydream Island. (Vessel collection fee: $120.)
• Hayman Island start: board your charter vessel at Hayman Island. (Vessel delivery fee: on request.)
• Hayman Island finish: finish your charter at Hayman Island. (Vessel collection fee: on request.)

Additional fees

The following additional fees are applicable to each charter:

Marine park fee

A Great Barrier Reef Marine Park fee plus associated charges are applicable to all charters and payable in full prior to departure.  The fee includes an Environmental Management Charge of $5.50 per person per night for three nights ($16.50) plus administration charge ($8.50).  Total cost per person is $25.00.

Damage levy fee

A non-refundable, one-off damage levy fee protects the charterer against damage to the vessel and its fittings or loss of inventory from the vessel - providing the vessel has been operated in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the charter agreement. The fee is calculated on a daily rate ($45 - $100 per day), depending on the vessel selected.

Bond

A non-refundable damage levy fee of $100 plus a refundable $2500 bond option - applicable to all vessels and all charter durations - is also available. Whitsunday Rent A Yacht reserves the right (without showing cause) to apply this option.

Fuel

Fuel is not included in charter costs. Costs are calculated on the total fuel litres used and are payable on completion of the charter. Fuel cost estimates are available per charter, on request.
