Daily domestic flights fly in to Proserpine on the coast and Hamilton Island. Mackay airport is another option but is an approximate 2 hours drive south. International access to the Whitsundays is via connecting flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Cairns International airports.

If you drive to the Whitsundays the roads are in excellent condition and pass through charming towns and villages and some beautiful scenery along the way.

Queensland Rail operates regular express services into Proserpine from most major cities in Australia.
