Place a vessel on hold
On request, we can place your chosen vessel on hold for 48 hours while you confirm your travel arrangements. We will require a contact telephone number so we can offer you first refusal on that vessel if there is another interested party, in lieu of a booking deposit.
Deposit
To secure your vessel we require a $1000 non refundable deposit, via credit card or direct deposit.
Once your deposit has been received, we’ll email confirmation of your charter details.
Vessel Fee
To be paid in full 70 days prior to departure.
Travel Insurance and Cancellation
Travel insurance makes sense. A small, additional investment when you book ensures you are protected should your holiday be interrupted by illness, a family emergency or severe tropical weather.
While late summer is a great time to visit the Whitsundays, conditions can vary. If you are holidaying during this period, travel insurance – including cyclone cover – is especially important.
Refunds and Cancellations
You or any member of your party may cancel your booking at any time providing that the cancellation is made by the lead name in writing. Notice of cancellation will be effective upon receipt by us of your written communication. As we start to incur costs from the time of your booking is confirmed, cancellation fees will be applied towards any refunds.
Island Relocation
Our standard start and finish location is at the Whitsunday Rent A Yacht base in Shute Harbour.
Hamilton Island vessel relocations are offered, subject to availability and additional fees.
Additional Fees
The following additional fees are applicable to each charter and payable on arrival:
Permit Admin Fee
This per person fee covers our costs in relation to holding and administration of Marine Park Permits and the Environmental Management Charge payable to the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. (no charge for 3 year olds and under)
Vessel Bond options
– Option 1 Damage Levy + Bond: $65 per night plus a $1500 bond – not available on Leopard Power Cats & Leopard 50 Sail Cat.
– Option 2 Bond only: $4,000 bond (no nightly fee) – mandatory on Leopard Power Cats & Leopard 50 Sail Cat
A security bond will be pre-authorised on your credit card upon arrival.
This bond represents your maximum liability for vessel damage or equipment loss (excluding negligence).
Following a satisfactory end of charter inspection, the bond will be released.
Vessel and Tender Fuel
Fuel is charged on consumption at the end of charter, for all vessel and tender/outboard fuel used.
Charged at a market rate, per litre.
Sleep-aboard
You can stay on board your vessel the night prior to your charter. This allows you to settle in and become familiar with your vessel before your 8am briefing the morning your charter begins.
To take the sleep-aboard option, you must be at our Shute Harbour jetty at 4pm to be shown on board. Due to limited availability, this option needs to be requested at the time of booking and is not guaranteed. Charges apply. Contact us for prices.
