Sailing and cruising the Whitsunday Islands is a wonderfully relaxing holiday, and to make the most of the time you have on the water once you’re here you’ll need to consider one of the most important parts of your holiday before you arrive – provisioning the boat.

You can go as gourmet or as simple and pre-prepared as you choose. Either way, let us help guide you through the many options to choose from.

One thing to keep in mind is the boat’s kitchen – or “galley” as we call it – fridge and freezer may not be quite as big as your one at home. It’s good to think about simple, tasty meals that are easy to prepare so you can spend your time enjoying the islands.

Utilise a local provisioning business

Have a local provisioning businesses deliver your food and drink to your boat. This is the most convenient way to stock your vessel and relax into your holiday. Platters are also a great option to soak up the marina atmosphere!

Self Catering & specialty suppliers

If you are well organised, you are more than welcome to self cater.

There are various supermarkets and specialist produce suppliers in both Airlie Beach and Cannonvale, including butchers, greengrocers, and seafood suppliers, allowing you to self-provision locally before your charter. A couple of our favourites are Fishi and Master Butchers Whitsundays.

SUPERMARKETS

Both Woolworths and Coles will deliver to our base here at Shute Harbour.

When placing a supermarket order, please keep in mind:

•  You must be onsite to accept the supermarket delivery (we cannot accept on your behalf & we do not have cool storage off the vessel)
• Delivery time windows are broad & reliability is not guaranteed
•  Supermarket deliveries are not an option  for Hamilton Island charter starts

Alternatively you may like to organise a click and collect order.

If you choose the click and collect option, please ensure you leave enough time to pick up your order before your allocated check-in time.

Hamilton Island Charter starts and provisioning options

For Hamilton Island, you can place an order with any of the provisioning companies or specialty suppliers on the mainland. Ensure you order with enough time for the delivery to be placed aboard prior to your vessel departing for relocation to Hamilton Island.

If you wish to provision on Hamilton island, there is an IGA supermarket offering a range of products including fresh fruit and vegetables, meats and deli produce, kitchen supplies and pantry items.  (Provisioning on the island is only possible if you can arrive prior to your briefing time or you are prepared to spend the first night of your charter in the marina)

Please note: we are unable to accept Coles or Woolworths deliveries for Hamilton Island charter starts
